The Cypress Health Region utilizes several facilities around the southwest region of Saskatchewan. Since the opening of an 80-bed general hospital in 1912, new facilities were built and existing facilities were rented to meet the needs of the expanding local population and surrounding rural areas.

Each facility has its own specific purpose and operates under their own management and staff, thus allowing health care professionals to attend to the needs of each patient or client in a timely and effective manner. This ensures that the clients’ stay at any of our facilities is
as comfortable and pleasing as possible.

As the technology and health care procedures evolve to become more sophisticated, so too do the demands placed on the health region. Increasingly complex medical and surgical techniques, overall better health status of the population, and a decreasing population in southwest Saskatchewan will ultimately dictate the types of facilities we will eventually develop for our communities. It is our commitment to continue to offer the best health services possible to our greatest resource – the people of southwest Saskatchewan.
